Aero Aces is a first-person dogfight at dawn. You sit behind a forward gunsight while enemy biplanes, observation balloons, and a lumbering airship rise out of the distant horizon and swell toward your cockpit on a perspective-projected sky. Your job is simple to describe and hard to master: slide the reticle onto a target, read how deep it is, and fire your machine gun before it fills the screen and strafes you. The whole game is timing and triage. A plane far off is harmless but tiny and hard to hit; the same plane up close is huge and easy to down but one beat from clipping your wing. Watch for the red muzzle-flash telegraph, bank hard off-centre to throw off an enemy gunner, and never let a fighter slip past your nose unanswered. This guide covers reading depth, gunsight economy, dodging by banking, target priority, hunting the bonus airship, and the calm rhythm that turns a chaotic furball into a controlled clear.
